Create identity
Make one permanent Player Identity before joining any Mission.
Canton Quests turns real places and digital clues into playable Missions. Create a Player Identity, enter a Mission, complete quests, submit proof, and follow your XP, entries, and results from one account.

Make one permanent Player Identity before joining any Mission.
Enter the active game world you want to play.
Choose a task from that Mission's board.
Scan, check in, solve, or capture evidence.
Verified quests add XP and may award drawing entries.
Your Player Identity is the account-level player record Canton Quests uses to recognize you. It holds your public callsign-style display name, avatar, permanent XP total, and the Mission entries tied to you. A Mission can still have its own participation state, but it connects back to the same player.
Your display name, avatar, XP, and public game history stay attached to the same identity.
A Mission can require its own entry record before you see that Mission's quest board.
Your public player label is shown for gameplay; account credentials are not leaderboard copy.
Your path is part of your Player Identity, not a Mission. It's a one-time style choice that stays with you everywhere in Canton Quests — it doesn't lock you into a location, a quest list, a prize pool, or a leaderboard. All three paths can play the same Quests. Your path mainly changes the way Canton Quests talks to you — tone, flavor text, and Commander wording.
Welcoming, collaborative, and easy to jump into — built for exploring together.
Direct, energetic, and daring — built for players who want to prove themselves.
Cryptic, atmospheric, and investigative — built for uncovering what others miss.
A Mission is the container: rules, time window, leaderboard, prize structure, and the set of quests available inside it. A quest is the individual objective you complete. Some quests are solved on-screen, some send you into the field, and some require a specific proof type before the server awards anything.
A bounded game experience with its own rules, active window, leaderboard, rewards, and archive.
A playable objective inside a Mission. Some are single-step; others unlock in sequence.
The evidence a quest requires before XP, entries, or completion can be awarded.

XP and drawing entries are different. XP measures progress and performance. Your permanent Player Identity can show lifetime XP, while each Mission leaderboard ranks Mission-scoped XP. Drawing entries are separate. They may be earned through qualifying Quests, Entry Tokens, or other explicitly listed Mission objectives. Entries do not add XP or change leaderboard rank.
VIEW LEADERBOARDThe live leaderboard is XP-based. It reads verified score ledger rows for the selected Mission, totals each player's points, counts distinct completed quests, and sorts highest XP first. If XP is tied, whoever reached that score first ranks higher. Technically, the earlier latest scoring timestamp ranks first. Drawing entries are not a rank tie-breaker.
Mission leaderboards total verified score ledger points for that Mission only.
If XP is tied, whoever reached that score first ranks higher.
Entered players can appear before they have points, so the board reflects participation too.
Arrive inside the target zone and submit location proof.
Enter the word, number, or answer found through play.
Scan an official Canton Quests marker when a quest asks for it.
Capture field evidence for review when visual proof is required.
Record a short challenge clip for Missions that use motion proof.
Creating an account is free and gives 0 drawing entries. Each Mission publishes its own exact entry-earning rules. Drawing entries may come from qualifying Quests, Entry Tokens, or other explicitly listed Mission objectives. Completing your Player Identity earns +100 XP once — still 0 entries.
When a Mission concludes, winner selection follows an open, predictable process that anyone can verify. The system creates a single Final Quest Number from the Mission's final verified totals, then reads through that number to locate the winning ticket.
The system creates the Final Quest Number by multiplying four objective numbers together: Canton Quests' permanent 21-digit number and three verified Mission totals.
311420151417215192019 × totalPlayers × totalValidEntries × totalCompletedQuests = FinalQuestNumberA fixed 21-digit constant derived by converting the letters of “CANTON QUESTS” into numbers (A=1..Z=26: C=3, A=1, N=14, T=20, O=15, N=14, Q=17, U=21, E=5, S=19, T=20, S=19). This number is permanently fixed in code and never changes.
The total number of qualified players who registered and participated in the Mission.
The total number of valid prize drawing tickets earned across all qualified players.
The total number of verified quest objective completions submitted across the entire Mission.
This multiplication produces a single, reproducible number stream used to locate the winning ticket. It is not itself a ticket number.
Count how many digits are in the total number of valid entries (totalValidEntries). If there are 356 valid entries, winning ticket numbers use 3 digits.
Starting from the left, read the Final Quest Number in overlapping groups of that many digits, moving forward one digit at a time.
With 356 valid entries, a result such as 809 is skipped because ticket 809 does not exist. A result such as 092 means ticket 92.
If the selected ticket is not eligible for that specific prize, continue to the next valid ticket until an eligible winner is found.
If the forward scan does not produce an eligible winner, the Final Quest Number is reversed and the same process is repeated.
If neither scan produces an eligible winner, the published fallback formula converts the Final Quest Number into a valid ticket position.
Permanent alphanumeric cipher of “CANTON QUESTS” (A=1..Z=26). Fixed in code.
Total qualified players who registered and participated in this Mission.
Total valid prize drawing tickets earned across all qualified players.
Total verified quest objective completions submitted across the entire Mission.

311420151417215192019 × 0 × 0 × 0 = 0When a Mission uses the Final Quest Number method, the drawing begins from the frozen valid ticket pool: totalPlayers = qualified players, totalValidEntries = valid drawing tickets, and totalCompletedQuests = verified Quest completions.
The Final Quest Number is not the winning ticket. It becomes the deterministic number stream used to locate the winning ticket:
